RISE exists to create Better Opportunities and more Inclusive Workplaces for LGBT+ Talent. We are here to help workplaces transform into havens of inclusion and belonging; that attract, retain, and nurture talent across the spectrum - because no one should ever have to choose between a rewarding career and their authentic self.
Over the last 5 editions, we have enabled over 1000 job offers for LGBT+ candidates across 25+ sectors.
The RISE Revolution: Dignified Opportunities, Empowered Lives
Prior to 2018, the LGBT+ community in India faced significant barriers to dignified employment, often forced to choose between their identity and career aspirations. The landmark judgment by the Supreme Court of India of decriminalization of homosexuality (Section 377) in September 2018 ignited a spark of hope, paving the way for RISE in July 2019.
RISE, with its audacious vision, sought to revolutionize the landscape by influencing companies in India to actively attract and hire LGBT+ talent. This commitment to inclusivity has not only transformed countless lives but also empowered individuals to achieve financial independence and pursue their careers authentically. RISE stands as a testament to the power of collective action in fostering a more equitable and just society.
