RISE: Transforming Opportunities, Fostering Inclusion
RISE is dedicated to creating better opportunities and building workplaces where inclusion and belonging thrive. Our mission is to empower organizations to attract, retain, and nurture LGBT+ talent across the spectrum, ensuring no one ever has to choose between a fulfilling career and their authentic self.
In its journey so far, RISE has facilitated over 1,125 job offers for LGBT+ candidates, spanning more than 25 industries.
The RISE Revolution: Dignified Opportunities, Empowered Lives
Before 2018, India’s LGBT+ community faced profound barriers to dignified employment, often forced to sacrifice career ambitions for their identity. The historic Supreme Court judgment decriminalizing homosexuality (Section 377) in September 2018 marked a turning point, sparking hope and paving the way for RISE's inception in July 2019.
Since then, RISE has championed a bold vision to reshape the employment landscape by encouraging Indian companies to actively hire LGBT+ talent. This movement has transformed countless lives, enabling individuals to achieve financial independence and pursue careers as their authentic selves.
RISE is not just a Job Fair—it is a powerful demonstration of how collective action can create lasting change. By fostering inclusivity, RISE is helping to build a society that values equity, diversity, and justice.
RISE, with its audacious vision, sought to revolutionize the landscape by influencing companies in India to actively attract and hire LGBT+ talent.
