RISE is more than just a job fair; it's a movement dedicated to creating a more inclusive and equitable workplace for the LGBT+ community. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive in their careers without compromising their authentic selves.
A Legacy of Change
Before 2018, the LGBT+ community in India faced significant barriers to employment. However, the landmark judgement by Supreme Court decriminalizing homosexuality (section 377) in September 2018 marked a turning point, sparking hope & paving the way for RISE’s inception in July 2019.
RISE has championed a bold vision to transform the employment landscape, encouraging Indian companies to embrace diversity and affirmatively hire LGBT+ talent.
Our Impact
Since its inception in 2019, RISE has facilitated over 1,125 job offers (Tech & Non-Tech) across 25+ industries, empowering countless individuals to achieve their career aspirations while living authentically.
